First, this... 

What now?

Many of you experienced project backers know the drill, and may even recognize the rest of this update as a modified template, but for those that don't, here's a quick (or not so quick) rundown:

A few things need to happen before we can kick off production and fulfillment.  

First, Kickstarter needs to transfer over the funds so we have the money to start making the game and the rewards.  

Second, we have to find out more information about your pledge, add-ons, and where we need to ship them. So in about two weeks, about the time funds have been transferred, we will send out a BackerKit survey to collect this information. 

We will give you a heads-up before we send the survey so that you can watch for it. You will not need to create a BackerKit account to answer your survey. The invitation email will contain a link to your personal survey. It is good if you submit your responses as quickly as you can since we need this information to process your rewards.   

Using the BackerKit survey is optional, so if you prefer, you can just message me and give me your information. But, answering your survey will help us get your rewards out to you more efficiently since BackerKit helps us save lots of time by streamlining the survey process, automating data organization, and providing us with pledge management software to make it easy to process your pledge reward shipments. Using it will also let you do many helpful things such as add or remove add-ons, or upgrade your pledge level.  

If you need to change your survey responses, or update your shipping information, you can click on the link in your survey email again or request your survey link under "Lost your survey?" on our BackerKit project page. (This page will only start working after we send the surveys out.)  

If you used Facebook to log into your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey link will be sent to the email you used for your Facebook account. If you have another email address that you'd prefer to use, please message me.  

Late to the party?  

For those of you that missed on the boat on backing the project, good news. BackerKit is also hosting a Pre-Order Store for us. Pre-orders will also ship in when the board game does.

With less than 60 hours left in the campaign, I wish to take this opportunity to thank the devoted fans of The 7th Guest and The 11th Hour, who came for the game and stayed for the game.. and maybe even an extra add-on or two.

We truly value and cherish your long-standing loyalty and support. By joining and hanging in there with us these past few days, and indeed, over the many years, you have made it possible for thousands of other fans who have not heard about our campaign, to enjoy this new variation of the original, classic game. By banding together in this effort, you have created a tight-knit community of very special people that has made it possible to introduce Stauf's other-worldly realm to an entirely new generation of collectors, fun-seekers and game-players in the modern day analog realm.

We are more motivated than ever – if that were even possible - to remain faithful to you, as you have been to us, by delivering the best tabletop game we possibly can.

First, let me wish everyone a happy International TableTop Day!

In celebration, we offer our latest, and final, add-on. The Sphinx Spirit Board is based on the familiar user interface from The 7th Guest and designed by yours truly. Each 18” x 13 ½“ board is absolutely unique, individually hand-crafted by master craftsman Devin Klarer (http://www.danceswithwoods.com) from natural wood, as is the planchette which is fashioned after the pyramid with the all-seeing Eye of Providence. Each board and planchette is signed on the back by me.

Imagine... after a fun, friendly game of the 7th Guest board game with your friends, what could be better than to have a nice little séance session to see what those on the other side have to say? Who knows? Maybe the spirit of Henry Stauf will make his presence known.

Our newest add-on offering is The 7th Guest: Infection, Tabletop Edition .

Based originally on the infamous and diabolically challenging microbe puzzle from The 7th Guest, then later on the 7th Guest: Infection app for iOS, this custom-made game consists of a quality roll-up 15"x11" vinyl board, 50 double-sided microbes, 9 anti-bodies (optional play), a cotton game bag, instructions, all packaged in a black tube.

This product is made to order, not mass produced, and each copy is signed by Rob Landeros.

Over the past few days, we have been very busy brushing off some items that we had prepared as add-ons for the previous campaign(s) for The 7th Guest: 3. It seemed like this would be as good a time as any to make them available once more. The first one, by request from a veteran of our past campaign, is a 7" tall cast resin model kit of the infamous old Stauf mansion.

At this point in time, it looks as though we will be able to offer at least two more items over the weekend. Stay tuned.

We got a very nice endorsement on The Dice Tower's video podcast. Check out the video and their entire channel. It's all good stuff.

 

We have also been spending a good deal of time setting up BackerKit to aid in handling post-campaign matters so that we make sure everybody gets what they pledged for. Through our use of BackerKit, it will be possible for you to nab any add-ons that you might have neglected to get while the campaign was ongoing. Hopefully we have set things up properly so that it all goes smoothly for everyone. If not, I'm sure you will not hesitate to let me know. :)

And, as always, keep spreading the word. Our post-campaign may be BackerKit powered, but while the campaign still goes on, it is people-powered. And that's YOU!
