Reviews and Prizes!

Seeking Reviews!

The 7th Guest board game that you helped bring into the world has now grown up and is stepping out into the bigger world. But in order for it to grow and flourish, it needs some reviews. In terms of reviews, Amazon doesn't care where you got your copy, they just want to have honest feedback from people who actually own the products that are on their site. And who better to leave a review of The 7th Guest board game than you?

Viral Contest Giveaway!

As of now, there are just three days to go with our Infection crowdfunder and we've nearly reached our goal. If we do get there, those who backed the project before the end of Thursday, July 4 will not only get a signed copy of Infection, but will be eligible to be one of four winners of the following prizes.

The winner of the Infection prize will have their choice of either an additional copy of the game or a refund of their pre-order.

Winners will be determined by random drawing and will be announced and notified on the Monday following the Fourth of July weekend.

We're having a viral contest!

With just seven days to go, we are almost to the goal of funding the Infection tabletop strategy game. And to help get us there, we decided it would be fun to run a little contest.

So, here's the deal, Neil. If the goal is met and you have pre-ordered before July 5, not only will you get a signed copy of Infection, but you will qualify to be one of four winners of one of the prizes shown below.

The winner of the Infection prize will have their choice of either an additional copy of the game or a refund of their pre-order.

Winners will be determined by random drawing and will be announced and notified on the Monday following the Fourth of July weekend.

Well, that's the plan, Stan. And no matter how you cut it, everybody wins!

Bad news, good news
almost 5 years ago – Thu, Jun 27, 2019 at 01:48:38 PM

First, the bad news...

Thanks to all who took the time to participate in our mini crowdfunder and pre-ordered their choice of the four puzzler editions. But as you can see, prospects of this crowdfunder reaching its goal did not look promising, so we decided to cancel the campaign. All those who pre-ordered have been refunded.

We are very sorry this did not work out. Perhaps summer is a bad time for it. Maybe those who own the game have more than enough puzzlers to last a good while.

But the exercise was not a total waste. We did learn which editions were most in demand (see final results below) and so we will probably take a serious run at getting the Family Edition funded at a future date here on Kickstarter. Perhaps by that time you'll be ready for a new set of family friendly puzzlers.

In the meantime, we would suggest to all that participated in this effort, that perhaps you might consider applying your refund toward the Infection crowdfunder which, with your support, would stand a very good chance of hitting its goal. (See the good news below)

Thanks again. You guys are the best!

Second, the good news...

The Infection crowdfunder is making good progress but with only eight days remaining, it needs a bit of a boost. In case you missed it, if we reach our goal, those who pre-order before July 5 will get their game personally signed by Rob Landeros.

Infection crowdfunder
almost 5 years ago – Wed, Jun 05, 2019 at 07:04:07 PM

Hey gang! We have started an “order goal” crowdfunder on our new Shopify store for a commercially manufactured game of The 7th Guest: Infection, the infamous and diabolically challenging microbe puzzle from The 7th Guest, which we can offer at half the price as the hand-made version we offered as an add-on to our board game campaign.

We’re pretty excited about this one.

Here’s the idea. If we manage to gather 150 pre-orders by July 4, the game will be produced. If not, it won’t be produced and your money will be refunded in full.

So, come check it out and put in your no-risk pre-order and help us all get a classic, good-looking and very challenging strategy game that anybody can learn to play in minutes but spend a lifetime mastering. It will be a great addition to your tabletop game collection.

Special Edition Card Set Mini-Crowdfunder
almost 5 years ago – Thu, May 30, 2019 at 05:34:03 PM

We recently conducted a poll, the idea of which was to learn which edition we should choose for a mini-crowdfunder.

The choices were:

  •  The 2nd Standard Puzzlers Edition - A set of 300 Puzzler Cards that, like the first, original set, range in difficulty from easy to hard, but mostly in between.
  •  The Family Edition - A set of 300 Puzzler Cards that are of the easier variety and suited for more casual play with friends, family and young adults.
  •  The Horror Trivia Edition - A set of 300 trivia oriented Puzzlers for that test your knowledge of all things horror, supernatural, occult and bizarre.
  •  The Mad Genius Edition - A set of 300 Puzzlers that are of the more challenging variety for those who enjoy testing the limits of their logical reasoning and knowledge base.

Here are the results of the poll as of this writing.

As you can see, with roughly 120 votes gathered, there is no clear winner. So now, instead of pre-selecting one, we have decided to put all four of them up for "order goal" pre-order and let market demand decide. If, between the four choices, we get a total of 250 pre-orders by July 4, we will produce the one that got the plurality of pre-orders. If we don't reach the target number of pre-orders, we won't produce any new set of puzzler cards and your money will be refunded in full. So you've got nothing to lose and 300 more puzzlers to gain.

So, we invite you to go pre-order the Puzzler card set edition you would most like to have.
